Web Development and Website Maintenance Skills: Three and a half years of experience developing web sites using (D)HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in UNIX and Windows environments. Excellent understanding of past, current, and emerging web standards. Knowledge of and experience in resolving cross-browser and accessibility issues. Experience implementing and managing page templates and dynamic, database-driven sites. Skilled in the use of multiple web development, graphics, flowcharting, desktop publishing, and content management applications. Experience with PERL/CGI scripting, XML/SGML, XSL (Both XSL Transformations and Formatting Objects), SQL, ASP, PHP, Cold Fusion, SSI, .htaccess files, IIS, and Apache. Skilled in server log analysis and the creation of custom reports.
Information Architecture and Information Organization Skills: Knowledge of indexing and classification schemes. Defined web site structures, navigation, metadata, and labeling schemes. Coursework in database design, information retrieval, and the organization and representation of information.
Usability Skills: Extensive experience with usability methods including: user needs analysis, user profiling, contextual inquiry, heuristic evaluation, cognitive walkthroughs, formal usability inspection, and the creation of performance measures and benchmarks.
