Now, the Space Station: Grieving, Imperiled
The International Space Station relies on the shuttle missions more than I would have ever thought. For one, the station relies on the shuttle to deliver fuel that allows it to maintain its orbit. Also, the shuttle is the only vehicle that is currently able to deliver four-story truss sections that comprise the main body of the station. Without future shuttle visits, the station will not be able to expand.
